LIGHTS - MAKE - UP MONSTERS

LOS ANGELES – April 22, 2002 – Wildfire Inc. of Los Angeles, California has announced it recently assisted in providing "special lighting effects" for the new Warner Bros. Movie World in San Martin de la Vega, Spain.

Movie World, which opened in April 2002, brings the likes of Hollywood to the scenic terrain of Spain. The Warner Brothers Park has 5 themed areas, one of which is styled after Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank. Visitors to the new theme park can amuse themselves by touring any number of "Hollywood" themed areas. The daring can take a stroll down the boulevard to the Los Efectos Especiales de Hollywood (Horror Make-up Show) and watch as monsters come to life with the help of specialized make-up and lights.

Working closely with Visual Terrain of Van Nuys, California, Wildfire provided nine 400-watt UV floodlights with Wybron scrollers to "oversee" the daily productions. As humans are transformed into living monsters, Wildfire’s specialized lights are remotely controlled to cast roving translucent and eerie shadows over the stage and audience.

"We’ve worked closely with Visual Terrain on a number of other projects in the past," said John Berardi, vice president of Wildfire, Inc. "This one was of particular interest as they needed lighting that would grab and entice a theatrical spark in the audience."

Visual Terrain specializes in designing lighting for architectural and destination entertainment projects. The lighting design team for this project included Dawn Hollingsworth as principle-in-charge and project lighting designer Erin G. Powell. The lighting equipment vendor was Candela Controls, Inc.

Warner Bros. new Movie World is located 25 kilometers from Madrid and will open daily in June 2002.
